Jasper

An alpine town in Canada’s Alberta province, Jasper is the commercial centre of Jasper National Park. It’s one of 20 such sites in Canada with 11,228 square kilometers (4,335 square miles),is also Canada’s largest park in the Rocky Mountains and the second largest Dark Sky Preserve in the world !

Amid the snow-capped Canadian Rockies, the park has glacier-fed lakes, forests and rivers. The Jasper SkyTram climbs to the summit of Whistlers Mountain, with views of downtown.

Originally a railway town, Jasper’s unpretentious small-town charm has a timeless appeal. Surrounded by towering mountains, crystalline lakes, and abundant wildlife, no wonder the national park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.
