Beaver Creek Conservation Area, located near Saskatoon, is an accredited watchable wildlife site, where prairie creek meets prairie river, a microcosm of the Meewasin Valley and home to an amazing diversity of wildlife!
Discover this semi-wilderness area by hiking four nature trails and exploring the hands-on displays in the interpretive centre. No dogs are allowed at this site.
This conservation area, 13 km south of Saskatoon on Highway 219, lets you discover prairie, forest, sheltered creek, and river valley habitats on four nature trails. Explore the Interpretive Centre, try feeding the chickadees by hand, and take in one of the regular interpretive programs offered throughout the year.
Conservation areas like Beaver Creek, are designated areas that are set aside to protect and enhance natural ecosystems and unique cultural resources. These important areas also provide habitat for rare, threatened and species at risk and contribute to a larger inter-connected corridor for wildlife.
The activities permitted on site are a different from a recreation area or park space.
